MIAC Release

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University junior quarterback Jackson Erdmann (Rosemount, Minn.) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 1.

Erdmann directed SJU to points on its first five offensive possessions to build a 31-0 halftime lead in last Saturday's 52-0 shutout at Augsburg. He completed a career-high 22 passes, which spread to seven different receivers, on 26 attempts for 264 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Erdmann led SJU on its first two offensive drives of the second half before he took a seat.

The 264 passing yards enabled Erdmann to move past Ross Denne (1999-02) for ninth on SJU's all-time list with 4,064 career yards.

He currently leads NCAA Division III in pass-efficiency rating (225.3) and is second in both completion percentage (.744) and yards per pass attempt (11.7), 14th in passing touchdowns (13) and 19th in yards per completion (15.8). His 225.3 pass-efficiency rating is third in all of college football, behind Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa (238.3) and Oklahoma's Kyler Murray (231.0).

The ninth-ranked Johnnies (4-0, 3-0 MIAC) return to the Twin Cities to face Bethel (4-0, 2-0 MIAC) for a 1 p.m. game this Saturday, Oct. 6, at Royal Stadium in Arden Hills.
