Junior guard David Stokman (Maple Lake, Minn.) drilled a three-pointer in the closing seconds of the first half to cut SJU's deficit to six (35-29), its largest halftime deficit of the season. The Oles, however, started the second half with a 14-3 run and the Johnnies brought their deficit below 10 only once the rest of the way (eight, with 4:37 to play).

Robert Tobroxen led all scorers with 24 points on 10 of 15 shooting, including a 3-for-5 showing from three-point land. He entered the game 13 of 41 (31.7 percent) from downtown. Tobroxen also collected six rebounds and six assists for STO, which out-scored SJU 18-9 off turnovers.

The Johnnies make the trek to Winona for a 7 p.m. game at Saint Mary's (1-19, 0-15 MIAC) on Monday, Feb. 5. SJU can clinch a share of the MIAC regular-season title with a win Monday night and a St. Olaf loss at Augsburg.
