Snow Fails to Slow SJU at Fall Finale

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's won its five-team Fall Finale on a snowy Friday, Nov. 3, in Collegeville.

The Johnnies' top 7-10 runners did not compete in order to rest for the NCAA Central Regional, which is next Saturday, Nov. 11. The race is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Carleton's campus in Northfield.

SJU totaled 27 points, one ahead of Bethel in second. Gustavus Adolphus claimed third (85 points), followed by Martin Luther (121) and Crown (134).

Freshman Jack Colleran (Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy) led SJU in 12th place, second among NCAA Division III runners, with an 8k time of 27:36. Classmate Justin Brakob (Maple Grove, Minn.) followed closely in 13th (27:49), while junior Kyle Becker (Pierz, Minn.) and sophomore Samuel Cruz (Pelican Rapids, Minn.) finished 15th (27:59) and 18th (28:13), respectively.
