D3football.com Poll 

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Saint John's University was ranked No. 9 in the D3football.com Preseason Top 25 poll released Tuesday, July 19. 

The Johnnies were ranked No. 9 by The Sporting News and No. 24 by Lindy's earlier this summer, and ended the 2015 season ranked No. 10 nationally by D3football.com and No. 11 by the America Football Coaches' Association (AFCA). 

Seven teams in the West region, including SJU, were ranked in D3football.com's top 25. Five of the seven were in the top 10: Linfield (No. 2), Wisconsin-Whitewater (No. 3), St. Thomas (No. 4), Wisconsin-Oshkosh (No. 6), Wisconsin-Platteville (No. 12) and Whitworth (No. 19). 

SJU advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs for the second consecutive season in 2015 and finished with a 10-2 overall record, including a 7-1 mark in MIAC play.

The Johnnies report to Collegeville on Saturday, Aug. 13, with the first practice scheduled for the following day. SJU opens the 2016 season with a 1 p.m. kickoff Sept. 3 against the College of St. Scholastica in Clemens Stadium.
