ST. PAUL, Minn. – Saint John's track and field collected 12 top-10 marks/times, including a number of strong performances among NCAA Division III participants, at the (Division II) Concordia-St. Paul Invitational on Saturday, April 16.
Senior
Randy Perez (Murrieta, Calif./Vista Murrieta) won the javelin throw with a facility- and meet-record distance of 51.75 meters. Senior
Cole Howard (Ridgefield, Wash./Skyview) finished seventh (45.82 meters).

Thomas Feichtinger (Omaha, Neb./Mount Michael Benedictine) led all non-Division I participants in the 800 meters to finish fifth overall with a time of 1:56.14.
Freshman
Drew Schoenbauer (New Prague, Minn.) took second among collegiate runners in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.94 seconds, the second-fastest in the MIAC this season.
Freshman
Max Martin (Minneapolis, Minn./Wayzata) led all Division III student-athletes to claim third overall in the 400-meter hurdles (57.27) and finished ninth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.55). Both times were season bests.
Junior
Raymond Twumasi (Coon Rapids, Minn.) took fifth in the triple jump (14.01 meters) with the second-best mark in the MIAC this season.
Junior
Peyton Thiry (Lester Prairie, Minn./Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity) improved his previous best by over two full meters to take seventh, first among Division III throwers, in the hammer (51.47 meters).
Sophomore
Matthew Burgstahler (Sandpoint, Idaho) and Connor Franta (La Crescent, Minn.) finished fourth (9:56.78) and sixth (10:10.91), respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The Johnnies' 4x100-meter relay took third (43.19), second among Division III competition, while the 4x400-meter relay claimed fifth (3:25.76).
The Johnnies travel to compete at the Carleton Relays next Saturday, April 23, in Northfield.
