ResultsST. PAUL, Minn. – Saint John's won six events and finished second out of three teams at the Macalester Invitational on Friday, Feb. 5, in St. Paul.
Hamline won the triangular with 84 points, followed by SJU (60) and the host Scots (33).
SJU did not have a participant in the high jump or the 4x400-meter relay.
Freshman
Drew Schoenbauer (New Prague, Minn.) won a pair of events, the 60-meter dash (7.17) and the 200 meters (22.98), to lead the Johnnies.
Senior
Thomas Feichtinger (Omaha, Neb./Mount Michael Benedictine) won the 1,000 meters (2:30.76) and junior
Raymond Twumasi (Coon Rapids, Minn.) placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 13.67 meters.
SJU posted the top five marks in the long jump, led by junior
Travis Spillum (Little Falls, Minn.) at 6.07 meters.
The Johnnies' 4x200-meter relay (

Luke Kelvington, Anthony Clarke,
Ryan Kuester) took first with a time of 1:34.06.
Junior
Sam Friesen (Excelsior, Minn./Minnetonka) took second in the 3,000 meters (9:21.70) and freshman
Max Martin (Minneapolis, Minn./Wayzata) claimed second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.84).
Junior
Maxwell Olson (Warrensburg, Mo.) and senior
Matt Devery (Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy) went 2-3 in the pole vault and junior
Peyton Thiry (Lester Prairie, Minn./Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity) finished second in the weight throw (15.79 meters).
The Johnnies return home to host their alumni and Macalester at 11 a.m. next Saturday, Feb. 13, in the Donald McNeely Spectrum in Collegeville.
