ResultsNORTHFIELD, Minn. – Saint John's track and field recorded 14 top-three, individual marks at the St. Olaf Qualifier late Friday, Feb. 26, in Northfield.
The meet served as the final tune-up before next week's 2016 MIAC Indoor Championships, hosted by Carleton, in Northfield. The three-day meet begins with the heptathlon on Thursday, March 3, and spills over to the first full day of events at 4 p.m. Friday, March 4. The final day of competition is scheduled for an 11:45 a.m. start on Saturday, March 5.
Senior
Thomas Feichtinger (Omaha, Neb./Mount Michael Benedictine) set a new school record in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:27.71 to finish second, 0:00.10 behind St. Olaf's Paul Escher. Feichtinger's time broke the record he set last year by two seconds (2:29.24). Escher and Feichtinger are 1-2 in the event in the MIAC this season. Junior
Ryan Bugler (Okinawa, Japan/Kubasaki) claimed third in a time of 2:32.07, which is good for fourth in the conference.

Mitchell Peck (Alexandria, Minn.) went 1 (8.68)-2 (9.02) in the 60-meter hurdles, while the Johnnies claimed the top three in the 60-meter dash: junior

Raymond Twumasi (Coon Rapids, Minn.) placed second in the triple jump (13.51 meters) and sophomore
Colton Peterson (Cloquet, Minn./South Ridge) followed closely in third with a personal record of 13.33 meters. The duo are second and third, respectively, in the MIAC.

Travis Spillum (Little Falls, Minn.) improved his season-best mark in the long jump to finish third (6.52 meters) and classmate
Lukas Buehler (Omaha, Neb./Mount Michael Benedictine) finished third with a personal record in the mile run (4:28.12). Junior
Zach Grieves (Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson) placed third in the 400 meters (52.47).

Peyton Thiry (Lester Prairie, Minn./Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity) took third in the weight throw with a distance of 16.19 meters, which is good for sixth in the MIAC.
