LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Saint John's University senior Ryan Bugler (Okinawa, Japan/Kubasaki) was injured during the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Nov. 19, and did not complete the 8k race.

Bugler was tripped from behind twice, in quick succession, and fell to the ground on both occasions. He was stepped on multiple times during both falls and suffered injuries to the point where he was unable to run without a gimp in his stride and left the 280-man race. 

He finished third and was the top MIAC runner at the NCAA Central Regional last Saturday, Nov. 12, in Northfield. Joe Coffey led St. Olaf, which finished 15th at nationals Saturday, in 23rd place (24:46).
