Johnnies Compete in Strong Field at Carleton

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Saint John's recorded six top-five finishes at the Carleton Relays on Saturday, April 18, in Northfield. Team scores were not calculated.

Junior Thomas Feichtinger (Omaha, Neb./Mount Michael Benedictine) led the Johnnies with a first-place finish in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:52.86, which is good for fifth in the MIAC so far this season.

Sophomore Ryan Bugler (Okinawa, Japan/Okinawa Christian School International) crossed the finish line second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:45.15). 

Senior Jake Lammi (Marine on St. Croix, Minn./Stillwater Area) placed third in the 400 meters (49.94), while sophomore Raymond Twumasi (Coon Rapids, Minn.) took third in the triple jump (13.25 meters).

Senior Yasin Williams (East Orange, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) claimed fifth in the 200-meter dash (22.64).

SJU's 4x100-meter relay posted a fifth-place finish (43.91).

The Johnnies travel to compete at the Macalester Twilight at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, in St. Paul.
