KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Saint John's ended its spring-break trip with two losses, 7-2 to Division II West Alabama and 8-1 to Hamilton (N.Y.), on Wednesday, March 27, in Kissimmee, Fla.

Senior Fabricio Moncada (Managua, Nicaragua/Lincoln International Academy) won his first match of the day against West Alabama's Anton Ivanov, claiming a 6-4 win in the first set before earning the victory with a 12-10 decision in the super-breaker. He won the first set 6-4 against Hamilton's James Oliver before falling in the second 6-3 and 11-9 in the super-breaker. The Continentals swept all six singles matches.

Junior Alex Wiegmann (Sunburg, Minn./New London-Spicer) won the Johnnies' other match against West Alabama at No. 6 singles (6-2, 6-3).

 The senior tandem of Willie Paul (Duluth, Minn./Marshall) and Zach Shriwise (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley West) won SJU's lone match against Hamilton at No. 3 doubles, 8-3.

SJU returns to conference play Saturday, April 13, against St. Olaf. Six of the Johnnies' final eight matches are at home (either indoors at Fitness Evolution in Sartell or outdoors at the CSB Tennis Courts in St. Joseph).
