COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Twelve Saint John's University football student-athletes were named to the 2011 National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday, May 4.
A total of 671 players from 241 schools qualified for membership. Saint John's and the University of Dayton (Ohio) tied for the most inductees nationally with 12. SJU led both the MIAC and the state for the second consecutive year.
The student-athletes must be either a starter or a significant substitute in one's last year of eligibility, achieve a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average throughout the entire course of undergraduate study, and meet all NCAA-mandated progress towards degree requirements.

- Senior defensive lineman Griffin Hayes (Mendota Heights, Minn./St. Thomas Academy): Accounting major
- Senior linebacker Aaron Hildebrand (Plymouth, Minn./Totino-Grace): Management and Environmental Studies double-major
- Senior wide receiver Brian Jennissen (Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes): Applied Physics major
- Senior offensive lineman Tim Juba (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park): Chemistry and Secondary Education double-major
- Senior running back Nick Murray (Colorado Springs, Colo./St. Mary's): Biology major (Pre-Physical Therapy)
- Senior tight end Josh Overman (Avon, Minn./Albany): Economics major
- Senior defensive lineman Kyle Schroeder (Richmond, Minn./Rocori): Business Management major
- Senior running back Bryan Virnig (Pierz, Minn.): Management major
SJU ended the 2010 season with a 6-2 record in the MIAC and a 7-3 overall record. Head coach John Gagliardi completed his 62nd season with a 478-129-11 (.782) career record and a 454-123-10 (.782) record in 58 seasons at SJU.
