McClure's Group Wins SJU Hockey Alumni Golf Fundraiser

The Tanners Brook Golf Course in Forest Lake was host to the 10th annual Saint John’s Hockey Fundraiser on Aug. 23. The foursome of Pat McClure ‘11, Mike McClure, John Adams and Justin Jurek '11 won the tournament with a score of 58 (-14). The foursome of Matt Wocken ‘07, Nate Meinz ‘08, Blake Johnson ‘07 and Dustin Mercado ’07, and the foursome of Pat Peschel ‘93, Mike Peschel, Kurt Hallstrom ‘94 and Randy Hallstrom ’66, tied for second place with a 61 (-11).
Eighty-two golfers participated in the event and raised over $6,000 for SJU Hockey. Head coach Doug Schueller would like to thank all 82 golfers, all 18 hole sponsors, the Tanners Brook Golf Course and finally, all of the 2010-11 SJU Hockey players that helped out at the event.
“This golf event was a huge success one again and I am already looking forward to the 11th annual tournament and our goal of having over 100 golfers.”
