SAUK CENTRE, Minn. – The Saint John's University golf team is one stroke out of first place heading into Sunday's round of the annual Saint John's Fall Invitational.
Wis.-Eau Claire is currently in first (299), followed by SJU Red (300), SJU Blue (305), Carleton (306), and Neb.-Wesleyan (309).
Jamie Krula (Wis.-Eau Claire) leads all individuals with a two-under par 70, followed by Wis.-Stout's Andy Smith who shot a 71 (-1). Tim McCormick (Wis.-Eau Claire) finished the day with an even-par 72. Freshman Casey Vangsness (Alexandria, Minn.) is in fourth overall and leads all SJU golfers with a score of 73 (+1).
The final round (18 holes) of the Saint John's Invitational will be held Sunday, Sept. 19, at Blackberry Ridge G.C. in Sartell. A 9 a.m. shotgun start is scheduled.
