COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The USA D-III All-Star team, head-coached by SJU assistant Pat McKenzie and assisted by Jerry Fogarty, posted a 2-3 record in Brazil Aug. 5-10. Junior point guard Andy Burns (Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka) and senior wing Aaron Burtzel (Cold Spring, Minn./Rocori) averaged 9.0 and 8.8 points per game, respectively.

The Johnnies begin the 2010-11 season with an exhibition at NCAA Division I Marquette at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in Milwaukee. Head coach Jim Smith, a 1956 graduate of Marquette, officially begins his 47th season with a 713-499 career record (.588) Nov. 15 against NCAA Division II St. Cloud State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Sexton Arena in Collegeville.
