Foley Receives Academic All-MIAC Recognition

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Saint John’s University sophomore Jimmy Foley (Moorhead, Minn.) earned 2009-10 Winter and Spring Academic All-MIAC honors on Thursday, July 8.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale to qualify for Academic All-MIAC recognition. Athletically, swimming and diving student-athletes must be a qualifying finalist (places 1-16) in the individual and relay events at the MIAC Championships.

Foley finished fifth in both the 1,650-yard freestyle and the 400-yard individual medley at the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships in February. A two-time honoree, he is an economics and management double-major with a 3.72 GPA. 

For the 10th time in head coach Bill Saxton’s 12 seasons as head coach, the Johnnies finished fourth (or better) at the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships in February.
