Two Johnnies Named to All-MIAC Tennis Team

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University senior Dutch Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) and freshman Fabricio Moncada (Managua, Nicaragua/Lincoln International Academy) were named to the 2010 All-MIAC tennis team on Thursday, May 6.

Hansen tallied a 6-11 mark overall and a 4-5 record in conference play at No. 2 singles. A two-time All-MIAC selection, Hansen ended his career with a 21-23 singles record (9-11 MIAC) and a 22-28 record (7-14 MIAC) in doubles competition. He was also named to the 2010 All-MIAC Sportsmanship team.

Moncada, meanwhile, took the No. 1 singles spot by storm as a freshman in 2010, posting an 8-5 record (5-4 MIAC). He also tallied a 7-7 record (4-5 MIAC) in doubles competition.

SJU ended the 2010 season with a 9-9 overall record and a 3-6 record in the MIAC. The Johnnies won each of their last three matches, but failed to make the MIAC Tournament for the first time in head coach Jack Bowe's 13-year tenure.
