ST. PAUL, Minn. – Saint John’s turned the tables in the second half for the second straight game as the Johnnies earned a 81-63 road win at Macalester on Monday, Feb. 1.

SJU (12-7, 9-5 MIAC) reacted to the 40-40 halftime score with a 20-8 run to start the second half and never looked back. The Johnnies shot 58.3 percent (14-24) in the second half to the Scots’ 31.0 percent (9-29), a reversal from the 58.3 percent-50.0 percent shooting advantage held by Macalester (2-18, 0-15 MIAC) in the game’s first 20 minutes.

Burns tallied 14 of his 17 points in the second half on 4-5 shooting and a 5-for-6 mark from the free-throw line.
