Connelly Signs With Amarillo of the CHL

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John’s University graduate Pat Connelly ’09 signed with the Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) on Wednesday, June 3.
A 2008-09 All-MIAC first-team selection, Connelly (Birchwood, Minn./White Bear Lake) finished second on the team with 11 goals and a plus/minus of +9 while compiling 17 points. Connelly ended his career with 50 points (30g/20a) in 77 games.
The Johnnies finished seventh in the MIAC in 2008-09 with a 7-8-1 record and a 10-14-1 overall record under the direction of first-year head coach Doug Schueller.
"I am very excited for Pat," Schueller said. "This is a great opportunity for him to further his playing career. He is a hard working kid that will do whatever it takes to play at the next level."
