Saint John's University

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Five members of the 2008-09 Saint John's University Nordic Ski team were named to the 2009 NCAA All-Academic Ski Team on Thursday, March 12. 

In order to achieve such an accomplishment, student-athletes need to obtain a minimum GPA of 3.5 during the Fall 2008 semester and have participated at the 2009 NCAA Regional held in Houghton, Mich. on Feb. 28-March 1.   

The athletes will be honored at their team banquet on Sunday, March 22 in Collegeville.
 
- Sophomore Mason Bacso (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata): 3.62 GPA, Dietetics         
- Freshman Grant Cook (Duluth, Minn./East): 4.00 GPA, Biology
- Junior Trevor Drake (Eden Prairie, Minn.): 3.89 GPA, Environmental Studies
- Junior Kevin Neal (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson): 3.88 GPA, Economics
- Freshman Matt Palmquist (Carlton, Minn./Cloquet): 3.53 GPA, Undecided
