2008-09 NWCA Academic All-Americans
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University senior Grant Eustice (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) was named a 2008-09 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Academic All-American on Wednesday, March 11.
A psychology and Spanish double-major with a 3.52 GPA, Eustice posted a 24-11 record in 2008-09 and finished fourth in the 174-pound bracket at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Eustice also earned NWCA Academic All-America honors in 2007.
To be eligible athletically, the wrestler must meet one of the three criteria: be a 2009 national qualifier with a minimum .500 won/loss record; have placed at the national qualifying tournament (at least sixth at the Great Lakes Regional) and have competed in at least half of the institution's NCAA sanctioned events; or have a minimum .670 win/loss record and have competed in at least half of the institution's NCAA sanctioned events.
Academically, the wrestler must have a 3.2 GPA for the previous full academic year.
