HOUGHTON, Mich. – Saint John's finished seventh out of nine teams at the NCAA Central Regional in Houghton, Mich.

Following Saturday's 10k classic race, SJU finished first among NCAA Division III members and fifth overall. 

Freshman Grant Cook (Duluth, Minn./East) led SJU with a 19th-place finish (32:52), followed by freshman Bob Gerten (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Thomas Academy) close behind in 20th (32:58) and senior David Gifford (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) in 28th (33:50).

Cook led the Johnnies on Sunday with a 21st-place finish (46:58), followed by sophomore Mason Bacso (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) in 31st (48:50) and Gerten in 34th (49:48).
