Brute-Adidas/NWCA Team Rankings | Brute-Adidas/NWCA Individual Rankings

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - The Saint John’s University wrestling team was ranked No. 5 in the latest Brute-Adidas National Wrestling Coaches’ Association (NWCA) Division III team rankings released Nov. 17. 

Other teams ranked from the NCAA Great Lakes Region include Augsburg (No. 2), Concordia-Moorhead (No. 8), North Central (Ill.; No. 9), and Elmhurst (Ill.; No. 13).s.

In addition to the team rankings, four Johnnies were ranked individually: junior Minga Batsukh (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/St. Benedict's Prep, N.J.), first at 141 pounds; senior Mogi Baatar (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia/St. Benedict’s Prep, N.J.), third at 133 pounds, up one spot from fourth; junior Dustin Baxter (Fairbanks, Alaska/West Valley), fifth at 184 pounds; and junior Matt Baarson (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park), sixth at 157 pounds, up one spot from seventh.


The Johnnies begin their 2009-10 season this Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Augsburg College Open in Minneapolis. The meet is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Si Melby Hall.
