Clemens Stadium

Virtual Tour

Dating back to 1908, when drainage of a cranberry marsh was completed in preparation for the new football field, this stadium has been home to many memorable events. Saint John's has led the nation in Division III football attendance eight of the last 13 years. In fact, SJU was listed by Sports Illustrated a couple years ago as one of 10 "Dream Destinations" in all of college football. What makes that fact even more impressive is that the other nine schools are Division I institutions.

In its last 116 games at Clemens Stadium, dating back to 1987, SJU has a record of 103-12-1 (.892), with three of those losses coming in the NCAA playoffs. From 1988 to 1994, the Johnnies won 30 consecutive home games.

In total, the Johnnies have posted a 275-82-13 all-time record (17-4 record in the NCAA Division III Playoffs) at Clemens Stadium (.761) entering the 2007 season.
