Bigalke leads Johnnies as they Defeat Oles, 90-60
Collegeville, Minn. - The SJU basketball team continued it winning ways with a 90-60 win over St. Olaf on Wednesday, Jan. 10, in Collegeville. SJU has now won three straight and five of its last six games.
SJU was led by senior Troy Bigalke, who had 27 points. The 27-points is a single-season high for SJU. Junior Mike Nester added 14 points and six rebounds as the Johnnies shot 65.2-percent (30-of-46) from the field. SJU also made seven three-point baskets in the win. The Oles were held to 34.5-percent (20-of-58) shooting and only made 15-of-23 free throw attempts. SJU led 40-30 at intermission.
SJU improves to 6-4 overall and 4-2 in the MIAC. St. Olaf falls to 3-8 overall and 1-6 in the MIAC.
