Game One: Saint John's 5, Concordia-Moorhead 4

at Joe Faber Field, St. Cloud

St. Cloud, Minn. - Saint John's University sophomore Kyle Casey tripled home senior Grady McGovern in the bottom of the seventh inning for the game-winning run in a 5-4 win for SJU over Concordia-Moorhead at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.  McGovern walked with one out in the inning to set up the game-winning run.

The Cobbers tied the game in the top of the seventh inning on a RBI double by senior Clayton Horgen.  Horgen's double brought home Tim Miller, who had reached on an error to start the inning.

SJU jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second, only to see Concordia score three in the third to take the lead, 3-2.  SJU scored single runs in the third and fourth innings to take a 4-3 lead into the last inning.

Tim Miller went 3-for-4 with a RBI double for Concordia.  Brent Schloe had two hits, including a home run for the Johnnies.  Jamie Louwagie also had two extra base hits in the win.

Game Two: Saint John's 7, Concordia-Moorhead 5

at Joe Faber Field, St. Cloud

St. Cloud, Minn. - Saint John's University scored four runs in the first inning off of two home runs to take an early lead and held on to win, 7-5, over Concordia-Moorhead at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.  SJU senior Andy Schneider hit a three-run home run in the first while sophomore Damon Laliberte added a solo shot in the first.

With the Johnnies leading 6-1 in the fifth, Concordia scored four times to cut the lead to one run.  The Cobbers only had two hits in the fifth inning, but benfited from a SJU error, two walks and a couple wild pitches.  SJU scored an insurance wun in the sixth inning to make the score, 7-5.  Concordia left runners in scoring postion in the seventh inning.

Isaac Hjermstad had two hits and an RBI for the Cobbers.  Brent Schloe went 2-for-3 for the Johnnies.
